βThis is my second time I have used Powers since moving into this house. Each time, I have had nothing short of 10 star service! Frank is fast, reliable, and very helpful with tons of insight and knowledge. He helped me save hundreds, hopefully thousands with his advice and suggestions. I don't ever hesitate to make sure Powers is the first company I contact with any septic issues. Thier pricing is extremely great. If you consider you only get ur system pumped every 3 to 5 years, the cost is less than 100 bucks a year! That's alot of savings compared to most others. It's more so a savings for what they do to help keep your costs down with the free advice! Most places would just pump and go without helping the home owner out with advice on how to fix and make ur old system usable for more years to come. Thank you Powers and Especially Frank for taking great care of your neighbors! Photos are after a clean out and the advice on how to fix my broke outage pipe for less than 30 bucks!β β Troy Fiscus, βββββ

βCorbin at Restorex recently installed a new 2 bedroom septic system at my cabin. Anytime I need a service provider I go out of my way to find companies to work with that operate by "old school" values. I can assure you that Corbin is the guy! Professional, Courteous, Communicates, Knowledgeable, Honest and just all around HARD WORKING! If you need a new septic system you do not want to call anyone else, I can assure you of that.β β Chad Blacklock, βββββ
βI recently had the pleasure of working with Corbin at Restorex Septic Systems, and I couldnβt be more impressed with his professionalism and expertise. Corbin went above and beyond in answering my questions about replacing the septic system on a home I was selling. He had no skin in the game; I was looking to be educated, and he took the time to answer my questions and increase my knowledge on Septic Systems so I could make a good business decision for myself. What I think set Corbin apart in our conversation was his dedication to customer service. He took the time to listen and then provided feedback that was easy to understand, he answered all my questions, and even offered to call the county health department. Itβs rare to find a company that combines technical expertise with such a personal touch. If I need septic system work in the future I'm contacting Corbin. βWe were referred to Fisk Excavating by a long-time friend, and weβre certainly glad we made them our first call. We contacted Fisk Excavating to have our septic tank pumped, and from the very first call through to the completion of the job, they were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They showed up on time, located our septic tank, installed a new riser, cleaned our main sewer line, and pumped the tankβall within just a couple of hours. We were back up and running in no time. They will definitely be our first call for any future septic tank work. Mike and Ranee Cambridge City, INβ β Mike Creech, βββββ
βI called Fisk on July 5th asking to be put on their Fall schedule for septic pumping because I didnβt want my yard torn up for the summer. I was assured they could do the job right away and put the sod back on top and I would hardly notice they had been there. I had a cable buried a few days before and was very pleased with the little disturbance of our yard so went ahead with the job. They came on July 10th. Were here for about 20 minutes doing the work even though they told me it would take about an hour to pump the tank. Iβm hoping they did empty the tank. They just threw the dirt back on the hole putting sod at the bottom of the pile. I had a mound of dirt and tried to pull sod back out after they left but as you can see it is a mess. I called while they were still here to complain and lady just dismissed my call saying they must have had trouble. Her son was one of the two working the job. I will never have them on my property again.β β Terry Wheeler, β

βACME plumbing is honest, they know what theyβre doing and price the jobs fairly. I recently had a tenant that reported a water leak that ended up being under the porch after the curb-stop shutoff valve. ACME plumbing was quick to respond and had the new water meter pit installed in less than 4 days after calling them and putting down the deposit for work! That meant minimal time without water for my tenant! I have used ACME multiple times in the past, and they have always treated me fairly on the jobs Iβve had them do for myself and my business. If you have a plumbing problem that needs fixing I highly recommend their service! They will treat you right and wonβt jerk you around.β β Ethan Hatcher, βββββ

- Check licensing and insurance: Verify the company holds valid state and local licenses and carries liability insurance.
- Read reviews: Look for consistent positive feedback about quality of work, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Get multiple quotes: Compare prices from at least 2-3 companies. Be wary of quotes significantly lower than average.

- Check response time: For emergencies, ask about availability and response times.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I pump my septic tank?
Most septic tanks should be pumped every 3-5 years, depending on household size, tank capacity, and water usage. A family of four with a 1,000-gallon tank typically needs pumping every 3 years. Regular pumping prevents solids from entering the drain field and extends your system's lifespan.
How much does septic pumping cost in Indianapolis?
Septic pumping in Indianapolis, Indiana typically costs between $300 and $600, depending on tank size (750-1,500 gallons), accessibility, and the service provider. Request quotes from multiple companies listed above for the best price.
What are signs my septic system needs repair?
Warning signs include: slow drains throughout the house, sewage odors near the tank or drain field, standing water or soggy spots in the yard, gurgling sounds in pipes, unusually lush grass over the drain field, and sewage backing up into the home. If you notice any of these, contact a professional immediately.
Do I need a permit for septic installation in Indiana?
Yes, Indiana requires permits for new septic system installations and most major repairs. Permits ensure systems meet health and environmental standards. Your septic installer will typically handle the permit process, but fees are usually $200-$1,000 depending on your location.
How long does a septic system last?
A well-maintained septic system can last 25-40 years or more. Concrete tanks last the longest (40+ years), while steel tanks may only last 15-20 years before rusting. The drain field typically lasts 20-30 years. Regular pumping, proper use, and prompt repairs are key to maximizing your system's lifespan.
What is the difference between a septic tank and sewer?
A septic system is a private, on-site wastewater treatment system owned and maintained by the homeowner. A sewer system connects your home to a municipal treatment plant that processes wastewater from the entire community. Septic systems require regular pumping (every 3-5 years), while sewer systems charge monthly fees for centralized treatment.
