Short version: this company is untrustworthy, unorganized, dishonest, negligent, unresponsive, and apathetic to their customers after they've caused damages and a financial loss, even though they are supposedly insured. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! I give them 0/5 stars. Long version: I had an appointment with Wells at 10 AM on Monday, January 8th, 2024 to check the back-up battery for our sump-pump; it had been going off, indicating that the battery needed to be replaced. We also had noticed a little water on the floor next to where the sump pump is located. Steve and another plumber arrived over 3 hours late. One of the first things he said to me was that "the front-desk lady likes to schedule a lot of appointments." Steve first told me that the main sump pump needed replaced, so I agreed to this. After a few minutes, he then told me that it didn't need to be replaced after all and that the float had been stuck. He indicated on our appointment notes that the "main pump is operational." He also told me it would be cheaper for us to replace the back-up battery ourselves. Before leaving, he said to let him know if that didn't fix the problem. On Friday, January 12, 2024, we got a lot of rain. I went into my basement and noticed my carpet was soaking wet. I called Wells several times before getting ahold of the owner, Taylor, seeking emergency services because it was after hours. He asked me if I could tell if it was getting worse or not, because it could save me a little money to not pay the weekend rate if I waited for someone to come out on Monday to look at it. I asked that he send someone ASAP. He said he would send his head plumber, Steve, to my house first thing Saturday morning. Steve came to my house Saturday morning and assessed the problem. He replaced the sump pump and said, "I should have replaced it the first time." I fully believe that if he had replaced it the first time, my basement wouldn't have suffered the consequences. I also believe that he was rushing due to being so behind on appointments that day, and he was negligent in his diagnosis. Our carpet was completely ruined. The pad underneath was soaked and not salvageable. Our TV stand and baseboards also had water damage and needed to be replaced. My insurance company estimated the cost of repairs to far exceed what they would pay us. I called Wells and talked to Rosie for 4 minutes on January 16, 2024. After explaining the situation, I asked if I could have Taylor's number because I wanted to discuss a solution. She said she couldn't give his number out, so I asked if she could ask him to give me a call. A few days go by, and I don't hear from Taylor. I called again and talked to her on January 19, 2024, for 4 minutes. I again expressed wanting to be able to come to a solution about the damages we sustained. I never heard from Taylor. I felt like they were avoiding me, so I consulted a lawyer. He said I needed to repair everything before seeking payment from Wells. In the process of making repairs, we had another plumber install an updated sump pump system. He commented on the shoddy work done previously. In August 2024, Rosie called my husband asking him to pay our outstanding bill. He explained we hadn't paid it because of the damages they caused. She claimed it was the first time she was hearing about it, which was 100% untrue given I had talked to her twice about it. At this time, I submitted all of our receipts from our repairs to our lawyer. In the summer of 2025, my lawyer reached out to Taylor seeking payment for our repairs. He claimed this was the first time he was hearing about it. My lawyer offered to help him file a claim through his insurance to pay for the repairs. He was worried about his insurance rates going up if he filed a claim. So much so, that he hired a lawyer. He would rather pay legal fees than take accountability and do the right thing! They were unwilling to compromise, so we're left on the hook and paid over $10k for their mistake. IT SHOULD NOT GIVE YOU PEACE OF MIND THAT THEY (SUPPOSEDLY) HAVE INSURANCE!

Our Washing Machine was backing up though a Drain on our Basement Floor. We do have Tree Branches starting to grow into the pipe. They were able to come out within a few days of our Call. They used the Water Jet which can Blast though Tree Branches the size of your Finger. It was a Hose that Plugged into the spicket in the front yard that went to their Truck and then another Hose that came out the back and went down to our Basement. They were able to clear the The Clog and Clean up within a hour. They did a Great Job and will definitely call them again. Very Good People. They were going to be a little late from their Job before us and Called us to let us know. 🙂👍

I cannot say enough good things about Wells Septic & Drain Cleaning. From the minute Jody answered the phone till Steve came to my home and fixed my plumbing issues, they were professional, courteous, and finished the job neatly and in a timely manner. And the price was less expensive than any other plumbing company. I had called Apex Plumbing originally and it was the biggest mistake I have ever made. Apex claimed I had a collapsed pipe, which was not the case, and told me I could not flush my toilet but a couple times a day (and not put toilet paper in my toilet), could not take a shower longer than 5 to 10 minutes, could not wash clothes or dishes. I was basically held hostage in my own home for 7 days. Apex stated they could not do the repair until the 13th of August !! And quoted me a price of $9,000 to repair my "broken pipe." Out of desperation we called a friend of ours at Vic's Plumbing and he recommended Wells and I am so glad he did ! Jody listened patiently to me rant about Apex and in 3 days Steve came to my home and used a camera (which they did not charged me for) hydro blasted my system and it was fixed !! Wells charged me $300...Apex charged me $689 for the pleasure of holding me hostage until they could come back to "repair" my broken $9,000 pipe that did not need repairing. If you want an HONEST plumbing company that will not lie or hold you hostage I strongly recommend you call Wells Septic & Drain. Steve also recommended another company (Bless you Steve) that could descale my existing cast iron pipes and line my partial clay pipes with a substance that when the partial clay pipe deteriorated it would not effect my plumbing ! In ONE day Wells fixed my plumbing ! One day ! And saved me thousands of dollars ! I could not be more pleased with Wells Septic & Drain ! They are a company you don't find any more and that is an honest company! Thank you Jody & Steve you are wonderful people working for a wonderful company and I will recommend you to all my neighbors and friends. ( And thank you Jody for listening to me rant and cry over the phone explaining what Apex had done and not done. You're an Angel ! And Steve, thank you for explaining everything to me and for releasing me from my hostage situation, and being so professional. I appreciate you both so much.)

They arrived on time (actually a bit early). They worked hard because both my water heater drains were clogged and they couldn't be drained completely. The only complaints were they set pans underneath the heaters, but one was so far off center that the overflow pipe has to go on the outside of the pan. Also, they cut up one of the pressure relief overflow pipes, so I had to go out and buy a new one. Man, copper sure is expensive! Overall. I recommend them.

Great work and very friendly. I wish I knew the guys name that came out the second time and didnt come up with excuses like the 1st plumber did. The 1st plumber said my cleanout wasn't accessible which was a lie because the 2nd plumber used the same cleanout & was successful . The second plumber He was wonderful and explained and answered all my questions with NO attitude. He even wrote notes for me and recommendations so I can try to avoid future issues with my plumbing backing up. If I use them again I will always ask if I can get the 2nd plumber to come out his name was possibly Jeff.
