“They performed sceptic pump and inspection. Service, timing, cost was all good. They did cause me some hassle by not following the Township process for handling the inspection report and fee. They were listed on the approved servicers but I had to go out of my way to deal with the administrative tasks around getting the report to my township which is not how it's supposed to work. Minus one star for that.”

“4 am early Saturday morning, our septic alarm went off. I checked the tank and saw that it was close to the top. After calling the plumber just after 7 am, they told me that I need to get it pumped out for them to fix it. I called Kauffman's since we have been using them for years. The web site said that they were closed, but fortunately for me Doug answered. We talked through the height of the water in the tank to see how much time that we had. Doug said that he could get someone out over the weekend, but the cost would be much higher than coming out on Monday. He told me that we have about 150 gallons of space left and said that if we limit our usage, we would be fine until Monday. Monday morning at 8:07am, he had a truck backing into our driveway to take care of the issue. We have been using them for many years and will continue to do so. The reason has nothing to do with pricing or their location. It has everything to do with people like Doug that genuinely care about their customers. When you call with a problem in a panic over how to get this issue taken care of before it becomes a bigger issue, it is very assuring to know that when you call Kauffman's, Doug has got this!!”
