βDue to a number of factors that occurred, we needed our septic pumped ASAP. With winter weather only days away, the company weβre contracted with was booked out 6 weeks and so was everyone else I called. The guy that pumped us before just couldnβt fit us in and recommended DFW Septic. They were able to get us scheduled the NEXT DAY. The customer service on the phone and technicians that came on-site were professional and courteous and I would highly recommend DFW Septic to anyone needing a septic pump out.β β Kevin Shillings, βββββ

βCaleb and his assistant arrived just after 12:30 pm, removed and replaced, 2, upstairs, gas water heaters and were on their way just before 3 pm. Prior to work, they put down tarps to protect the floors and cleaned up well after completing the job. When I commented on how quickly and efficiently they competed their work, Caleb informed me they have multiple water heater teams who only install water heaters. While some companies may prefer the Jack of All Trades approach, in this case, the Master of ONE seems to be working out fine for Baker Brothers and their clients.β β Greg Sholly, βββββ

βMarlon is my hero. Every time he comes out, he has always done great and charged fairly. He has never, ever tried to exagerate any issues or upsell. βHad an outdoor garden hose valve break in the evening and was leaking behind the wall/siding of our house. Called Mr. Rooster and they were able to send someone out right away. Pascual was able to come out first thing in the morning and was able to make the repair, reinstall newer better equipment as well as enforce it better than it was to prevent from happening again, and most of all was able to reseal the wall back up to save me time from running to low s and rushing to get it done before the ice storm hits the DFW area. βThank you so much Mr Rooter for sending Pascual Adame to unclog the kitchen sink. He worked tirelessly to make sure the kitchen sink was unstopped. It called for more work to be completed. He did not leave until the sink was flowing smoothly. βIf there were an Olympic event for saving the day, Rod Septic Services would take goldβno contest. Hereβs how this legend entered my life: I was in full-blown emergency mode. I run an STR, had a guest on site, and the septic system, an essential part of an active renovation, decided to revolt. In my panic, I reached out to someone who didnβt even work on septics. Without hesitation, they said, βCall Rod,β and immediately shared his number. That referral alone felt like divine intervention. Before Rod, I called three companies. Two actually came out, charged for assessments, never physically inspected the septic, glanced around from a distance, and threw out astronomical, fear-based guesses that made my stomach drop. No curiosity. No care. No solutions. By the time I called Rod, it was late on a Saturday. Truly my last hope. I fully expected voicemail or a Monday callback. Instead, Rod answered and calmly said he would come out that night, even if it meant showing up under the stars and the moon. Iβll admitβI doubted it. I shouldnβt have. Rod showed up exactly as promised, beneath the night sky, rolled up his sleeves, and actually assessed the septic. Within ten minutesβyes, TENβhe identified the true source of the problem. I stood there stunned. It was unreal. And thenβ¦ the mic-drop moment: β’ His solution was thousands of dollars less than the others β’ He even offered a bonus preventative fix for just a couple hundred dollars β’ All in, he was at least $2,500 less than the wild-guessers who never even looked At that point, I half-jokingly told him Iβd ask him to marry me if that werenβt strange. π Because truly, this man is a hero. Rod is honest, hardworking, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. My emergency became his emergency. He didnβt upsell, didnβt dramatize, didnβt disappear. He showed up, solved the problem, and restored my sanity on a Saturday night. If you want integrity, expertise, responsiveness, and someone who treats your crisis like it matters, Rod is your guy. This is what excellence in business looks like.β β Garage Suite, βββββ
βWe needed our tanks pumped quickly due to plumbing issues. After calls to multiple other companies, ROD Septic sent someone out to our home the same day (Friday afternoon) to check blockage and make sure we were good through the weekend and then had someone out Monday to pump our tanks. Not to mention this all happened on January 2nd! Honestly, he went above and beyond by making sure we didnβt have a bigger issues and then took care of us as soon as possible! Weβll continue to use him for our septic maintenance.β β Kayla Holmes, βββββ

βOne of the worst companies I have ever had to come in contact with. We purchased a home whose previous owner used AAA for the past few years. Our home inspection showed that the septic and the equipment was in terrible condition and falling apart. As part of our buying concessions was to get the septic equipment repaired and the septic pumped. Nothing crazy right? The seller used AAA and paid for these repairs Oct 16th. We were told the septic company needed to order a new filter and it would be in a few days later and AAA was given our information and would call us when it came in. A few days after we closed I had not heard anything so I called and spoke to someone and was told they would call when the filter came in. A month went by and no response. I emailed, no response. I called and left voicemails no response. Two months have went by and not even ONCE have they called me back. I called last week on Nov 12 and spoke to a Daniel (I am assuming is the owner??) and he informed me that that his team would be by the following week and they were sorry. Guess what? This week rolls byβ¦ itβs Saturday and they have not been by or called or emailed me to inform me they were not coming. Going on over two months on a part (filter) that would have been in days after we closed. This product and service was paid for. At this point AAA is stealing since they received payment on an incomplete job. His team also left the old filter and trash in our yard and never removed it. I have never have dealt with a company who doesnβt respond and lies that they will be there and never show up on multiple occasions. The next step is to file a complaint with the better business bureau if they do not install. Never do business with them. We are looking for a new septic company to say the least.β β Kymberlee Dickens, β
βThis is the worst company that I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Iβve had a hose come loose on my septic pump. Iβve been trying to have repaired and so far it has been over a month. Still no one has shown up. I just renewed my contract and now in the process of trying to get my money refunded so I can shop around for a company that take pride in their work as much as they enjoy receiving your money. Each call is followed by broken promises and B/S!!! I couldnβt give this company one star. Thereβs no way I could recommend this company for anything.β β Joe, β

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I pump my septic tank?
Most septic tanks should be pumped every 3-5 years, depending on household size, tank capacity, and water usage. A family of four with a 1,000-gallon tank typically needs pumping every 3 years. Regular pumping prevents solids from entering the drain field and extends your system's lifespan.
How much does septic pumping cost in Dallas?
Septic pumping in Dallas, Texas typically costs between $300 and $600, depending on tank size (750-1,500 gallons), accessibility, and the service provider. Request quotes from multiple companies listed above for the best price.
What are signs my septic system needs repair?
Warning signs include: slow drains throughout the house, sewage odors near the tank or drain field, standing water or soggy spots in the yard, gurgling sounds in pipes, unusually lush grass over the drain field, and sewage backing up into the home. If you notice any of these, contact a professional immediately.
Do I need a permit for septic installation in Texas?
Yes, Texas requires permits for new septic system installations and most major repairs. Permits ensure systems meet health and environmental standards. Your septic installer will typically handle the permit process, but fees are usually $200-$1,000 depending on your location.
How long does a septic system last?
A well-maintained septic system can last 25-40 years or more. Concrete tanks last the longest (40+ years), while steel tanks may only last 15-20 years before rusting. The drain field typically lasts 20-30 years. Regular pumping, proper use, and prompt repairs are key to maximizing your system's lifespan.
What is the difference between a septic tank and sewer?
A septic system is a private, on-site wastewater treatment system owned and maintained by the homeowner. A sewer system connects your home to a municipal treatment plant that processes wastewater from the entire community. Septic systems require regular pumping (every 3-5 years), while sewer systems charge monthly fees for centralized treatment.
