“We had a miscommunication with All American Septic. My assistant set up the free inspection and was not told he might do the work right after the inspection. All American Septic has a policy that you must pay in cash or check right after the job is done. But since my assistant was told it was just a free inspection, we were not prepared. Once the job was completed, I get a call that he was demanding the full payment. I ask if he can take an electronic payment and I hear him yelling at my partner in the background that in 20 years he has never been asked for an electronic payment. I also hear him yelling that he was very clear on the cash or check right after the appointment. My assistant told me she was not aware of any of this and she just thought we had a free inspection today. I honestly don't know who dropped the ball, my assistant or All American Septic. However, once we realized he wanted cash or check NOW, I worked with my partner to move as fast as we could to get him paid asap. My partner let him know the miscommunication and how we were working to rectify the payment issue. Yet he kept yelling at her that he would not leave until he was paid. He then told her that he would charge her an additional $50 for every hour he had to wait. We worked as quickly as we could. I got the call about the payment at 11:04 am today. We had him paid by 11:30 yet he demanded an extra $100 for the additional time he waited. He originally told me $50 an hour but now he jacked the price up $100 for a 25 minute wait. This is fraud. But honestly, we were willing to do anything at that point to get him to stop yelling at my partner. I am a real estate investor and I am a repeat customer to many contractors. I believe in treating my contractors right and they ALWAYS get paid. I could have provided lots of business to All American Septic in the coming years. But after this horrific experience, I will never work with them again.”
